WARREN — A Warren teen who was found in a Howland home Monday evening after being declared missing for two weeks, said it was “too strict” at her home.
Khush Riar was returned to her northeast side Warren home after she was found hiding in a bedroom of a friend at a Glen Oaks Drive home in Howland.
A Howland man had called township police after his wife discovered the 15-year-old hiding in a bedroom. The woman told Howland police that Riar had been at the house for three or four days.
The teen was in good physical health and told officers she originally left home because “rules are too strict” there.
When asked by police if anyone forced her to leave home or if she was abused by any family member, she told officers: “No, it’s just too strict,” the Howland police report states.
The girl was taken by Howland cruiser to her home and reunited with her family about 8 pm Monday. Both Trumbull County 911 and Warren police, who had reported Riar missing since Aug. 24, were notified to remove their published notices of a missing girl.
