The Egyptian community in New York organizes a sit-in to support Egypt in the issue of the Renaissance Dam tomorrow

Tomorrow, July 18, the Egyptian community in New York will organize a sit-in in front of the headquarters United nations, To support the political leadership, and to support it in taking any decision it deems appropriate that preserves Egypt’s inherent right to preserve its share in the Nile River.

The Egyptian community in New York added that banners will be raised that reject any unilateral decisions on the part of Ethiopia that affect Egypt’s right to the Nile River.

For his part, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, affirmed that bilateral cooperation projects in the field of water resources between Egypt and African countries are a successful model for cooperation between Egypt and its African brothers.

He said that Egypt has historically been and is still keen to provide all forms of support to its African brothers, through many bilateral cooperation projects with the Nile Basin countries during the past years, as Egypt established many rainwater harvesting dams and underground drinking water stations to provide drinking water. In remote areas away from water gatherings with the use of solar energy technology, the establishment of many fish farms and river marinas, and the implementation of projects to purify waterways and protect against the dangers of floods with the aim of developing the surrounding areas economically, socially and environmentally, creating job opportunities, developing fishing conditions and reducing swamp areas, which leads To reduce epidemics and diseases.
